A certified coach with almost two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. I demystify the process of how to become a working professional in the entertainment industry with tools, strategies and processes to help performers feel empowered as they build their career, hone their craft and cultivate more confidence.
Your mindset is your #1 tool in life and in your career – and I frequently like to provide mindset reminders for actors. Take a moment today to do a life/career inventory and take a pause.
Some questions I take encourage you to take some time to ponder:
➡️ What have I accomplished in the last six months I’m proud of? Personally and professionally.
➡️ What did I challenge myself to do and what new things have I tried?
➡️ What are some roadblocks I faced and how would I like to handle them moving forward?
➡️ What are some things I’m looking forward to?
➡️ How do I feel – about myself, my relationships, my career, my spirituality, my habits….
I try to genuinely check in with how I’m doing, remind myself of all the awesome shit I’ve done so far and gear up for the awesome things I’m looking forward to tackling.
I recently cleaned up the notes in my iPhone (it’s already back to being a mess) – but there are few thoughts I had written down over the last month that stood out as I was organizing and wanted to share them with you.
Hopefully, these tiny tidbits can be as helpful to you as they were for me.
✨ Mindset Reminder for Actors #1.) “When you undervalue what you do, the world undervalues who you are – that’s the antithesis of owning the power to control your destiny.”
✨Mindset Reminder for Actors #2.) “I commit to doing my best and surrendering the rest. What is for me will find me.”
✨ Mindset Reminder for Actors #3.) “She didn’t waste time questioning herself.” Luvvie Ajayi, Professional Troublemaker
✨ Mindset Reminder for Actors #4.) “If it’s out of my hands, it’s out of my head.” – Amy Porterfield
✨ Mindset Reminder for Actors #5.) Stop taking shit too seriously. Some days will be a straight-up hot mess and others will be gloriously perfect and full of ease. One is not worse than the other – they all lead to a new learning experience
Take some time this week to do a life inventory.
Celebrate the year you’ve had so far (even if it’s been a sh*t show). You’ve been resilient AF and deserve to validate yourself ⚡️
Which tiny tidbit of Inspiration was your favorite? I’d love to know ✨
